Summer Guest House

When I saw this amazing summer guest house, I just had to share! I love it when garages or out buildings become these beautiful, well planned spaces – instead of being forgotten or filled with junk. Brilliant designer, Alexandra Angle combined a Scandinavian look with a laid back Californian flair. Look how gorgeous…I could definitely spend some time here!

I hope they like their guests…because they may not want to leave…

Don’t you love the fresh, crisp color palette and the unexpected furniture choices…so original!

Subtle pops of reds and blues really evokes that summertime feeling…while the wood floors add warmth to the white walls.

A perfectly compact kitchen with appropriately scaled appliances too. Open shelving all the way to the ceiling maximizes vertical storage. Love the red in here!

A beautiful garden wraps both the home and guest house creating a dreamy retreat with special places to savor the warm air and a good book!

Oh and don’t forget the outdoor bathtub – it doesn’t get more summer-y than that!

Such an inspiring design! Hope you enjoyed this little tour. Are you ready for summer? Do you have a special place for your guests?
